Wii U Online play + pfSense advanced stuff
Posted: Fri Feb 17, 2017 6:50 pmOnline smash play is unreliable for me, thanks to Nintendo's shitty routing in the Wii U. However, to fix the 118-0516 error, I found some particularly useful pages. This method means you don't need to put your Wii U in a DMZ, but I am unsure of the full implications of this method, as I only tested it for like 5 minutes then reverted it. I haven't had a chance to properly come back to it, but finding this info was super duper hard!
Be forewarned this is some very advanced stuff, and you could put your pfSense in a weird state if you do this wrong, so tread carefully!
