1. Format & Scheduling
Format:
- All teams will enter a Single Elimination bracket
- All matches will be best-of-1 (bo1), except the final match which will be best-of-3 (bo3)
- A match to determine 3rd and 4th place will occur before the final match (to determine 1st and 2nd place)
Scheduling:
- Start date and time is Friday April 28th 1pm (1300hrs)
- End time will be shortly after the final match has concluded (projected 9pm or earlier)
- Team captains are expected to check-in with LANified! at the opening of the Expo for the day, or as early as possible
- Team captains must co-ordinate with LANified! throughout the tournament so they know who they are playing against and when
- LANified! will schedule matches in advance as possible, in most cases this will be at least the current, and following match
- Once a match has concluded, there will be a 10 minute window whereby teams must exit the stage, and the next teams must enter the stage and setup
- If a team is not on-stage and ready by the end of this 10 minute window, they will be issued a warning. If they are not ready after 5 additional minutes the entire team will forfeit the tournament and the next match instead will execute.
- If a team is short (a) player(s) by the time their match is scheduled (end of 10 minute transition period), they may choose to participate in that match without those player(s). Said player(s) may re-join their team in later matches in the tournament. Said player(s) may NOT re-join their team mid-match. If a team chooses not to participate due to (an) absentee(s), they will instead forfeit the tournament.
- It is recommended that teams that will be in the "next" match stay within the general vicinity of the Gaming area, as scheduling rules will be strictly enforced due to tight scheduling.
