Counter-Strike: Global Offensive specific rules:
  • Round time limit - 1:45
  • Freeze time limit - 0:15
  • Bomb Timer - 0:35
  • Starting money - $800
  • Match length - 30 rounds, teams swap sides after 15 rounds
  • First team to reach 16 points wins that game
  • Third-party software relevant to the game is not allowed, this includes utility software.
  • Pauses will be limited to 5 minutes maximum. If a team cannot participate past the 5 minute mark, they will forfeit the match.
  • STEAM player names must match the name used for tournament registration

Overtime/ties:
  • In the Swiss and Round-Robin stages -> There will be no overtime. Captains will report win/loss/tie.
  • In the Single Elimination stages -> Overtime will be played out, captains will report only win/loss

Map selection:
  • In the Swiss and Round-Robin stages -> Maps will be agreed upon between the captains of the teams. If the teams cannot agree on a map, the Tournament Administrator will pick one.
  • In the Single Elimination stages -> Each team will get 2 map vetoes from the pool of maps. The team for first map pick, after vetoes, will be determined by a "digital cointoss", then alternating map picks occur between the teams. Each map after veto can only be played once in a match series. All maps in the series will be picked before the match starts at the Tournament Administration area, and agreed upon by both teams, picking from the pool of maps that were not vetoed. If the teams cannot agree on a map, the Tournament Administrator will pick one.

Side selection:
  • In the Swiss and Round-Robin stages -> Starting sides will be randomly assigned by the Tournament Administrator
  • In the Single Elimination stages -> Starting sides will be randomly assigned by the Tournament Administrator

Maps:
  • de_cache
  • de_cbble
  • de_dust2
  • de_inferno
  • de_mirage
  • de_nuke
  • de_overpass
  • de_train

General rules:
  • All matches will be 5v5
  • Teams consist of 5 players, no ringers, no bots, no coaches, no roster changes, no exceptions
  • All teams must declare only one Captain, who will represent and co-ordinate the team
  • Only team captains can report results. Both team captains must report match results.
  • All matches will only be played on LANified! assigned servers
  • Breaks during a tournament must be limited to 15 minutes or less. If your team is found to be grossly late, your team may face disqualification from the tournament or match forfeiture. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE DURING A TOURNAMENT. Captains are required to inform LANified! Tournament Administrators that they are taking a break.
  • Third-party textures/models/sounds are not allowed
  • Teams considered to be a poor sport, at the discretion of LANified! Tournament Administration, will be warned once. If they continue to be poor sports, their entire team will be disqualified from the tournament without refund.
  • Cheating in a tournament will result in immediate expulsion of the entire team from the event without refund. DO NOT CHEAT, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • If a game server experiences catastrophic failure, the game will be restarted at the last available backup.

The Grand Title Tournament for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be broken into 3 stages. 1 stage will occur per day. Stage 2 and 3 will have 2 Tiers.

Friday November 25th 2016 - Stage 1 - Qualifiers
  • All teams will enter into a Swiss bracket
  • The Swiss bracket will execute for 5 matches. Matches will be best-of-1 (bo1)
  • The top 60% (rounding up) of teams, based on Swiss score, will proceed to Stage 2 - Tier 1
  • The remaining teams will proceed to Stage 2 - Tier 2


Saturday November 26th 2016 - Stage 2

Tier 1:
  • Teams in this Stage and Tier will enter into a Swiss bracket
  • The Swiss bracket will execute for 7 matches. Matches will be best-of-1 (bo1)
  • If 11 or less teams are in this Stage and Tier:
    • The top 4 teams, based on Swiss score, will proceed to Stage 3 - Tier 1
    • The remaining teams will proceed to Stage 3 - Tier 2
  • If 12 or more teams are in this Stage and Tier:
    • The top 4 teams, based on Swiss score, will proceed to Stage 3 - Tier 1
    • The remaining teams will proceed to Stage 3 - Tier 2

Tier 2:
  • Teams in this Stage and Tier will be entered into 1 or more Round-Robin brackets. Matches will be best-of-1 (bo1)
  • If 7 or less teams are in this Stage and Tier:
    • Teams will be entered into 1 Round-Robin bracket
    • The top 60% (rounding up) of teams, based on Round-Robin score, will proceed to Stage 3 - Tier 2
    • The remaining teams will be eliminated
  • If 8 or more teams are in this Stage and Tier:
    • Teams will be broken into 2 separate Round-Robin brackets, approximately evenly split
    • The top 60% (rounding up) of teams, based on Round-Robin score, will proceed to Stage 3 - Tier 2
    • The remaining teams will be eliminated


Sunday November 27th 2016 - Stage 3 - Finals

Tier 1:
  • Teams in this Stage and Tier will be entered into a Single-Elimination bracket. This bracket will constitute final ranking.
  • Matches will be best-of-3 (bo3)

Tier 2:
  • Teams in this Stage and Tier will be entered into a Single-Elimination bracket.
  • Matches will be best-of-1 (bo1)

DotA 2 specific rules:
  • All matches will use Captain's Mode
  • All matches will use the Tournament version of the game
  • All matches will be played on LAN lobbies, created by one of the two Captains
  • Each match will have a coin-flip (or equivalent) performed by a LANified! Tournament Administrator. The winner of this coin-flip will get side pick.
  • If a disconnect occurs the game must be paused. The game is not to be unpaused until all players have reconnected.
  • Pauses will be limited to 5 minutes maximum. If a team cannot participate past the 5 minute mark, they will forfeit the match.
  • If massive catastrophic failure occurs, a Tournament Administrator may restart the game.
  • Third-party software relevant to the game is not allowed, this includes utility software.
  • STEAM player names must match the name used for tournament registration

    • Teams will be broken into 2 separate Round-Robin brackets, approximately evenly split
    • The top 60% (rounding up) of teams, based on Round-Robin score, will proceed to Stage 3 - Tier 2
    • The remaining teams will be eliminated


Sunday November 27th 2016 - Stage 3 - Finals

Tier 1:
  • Teams in this Stage and Tier will be entered into a Double-Elimination bracket. This bracket will constitute final ranking.
  • Matches will be best-of-1 (bo1)

Tier 2:
  • Teams in this Stage and Tier will be entered into a Single-Elimination bracket.
  • Matches will be best-of-1 (bo1)

Rocket League specific rules:
  • Time limit will be 5 minutes
  • In the case of a disconnect or other failure, a LANified! Tournament Administrator may make a judgement. If the game lets the effected player(s) reconnect, they must reconnect and continue the game where they left off.

Starcraft 2 specific rules:

  • Maps will be agreed upon between both players. If a map cannot be agreed upon, one will be assigned by LANified! Tournament Administration.
  • Replays of all matches must be saved by players.
  • Third-party software relevant to the game is not allowed, this includes utility software.
  • Pauses will be limited to 5 minutes maximum. If a player cannot participate past the 5 minute mark, they will forfeit the match.
  • Disconnects will be handled by the "recover game" functionality of replays. Should a game need to be recovered, it will be played at the latest time in the replay.

Maps:
  • Dusk Towers - 2 slot
  • Orbital Shipyard - 2 slot
  • Prion Terraces - 2 slot
  • Ulrena - 2 slot
  • Central Protocol - 4 slot
  • Lerilak Crest - 4 slot
  • Ruins of Seras - 4 slot

Hearthstone specific rules:
  • All matches will be played on the computer version of Hearthstone. (Windows/OS X/Linux ONLY)
  • All participants must be present at the LAN. No outside players can participate.
  • Only those who purchased LAN BYOC access may participate. LANified! staff may participate but cannot win prizes, staff will follow the same rules.
  • Time limit of 90 seconds per turn
  • Draws will count as ties, and will not be replayed
  • Third-party software relevant to the game is not allowed, this includes utility software.

Decks:
  • Players can only have 3 decks
  • Players cannot add/remove/modify any of their decks once the tournament has started. This persists until the entire Hearthstone tournament has completed. Players must be careful not to break this rule between stages.
  • Players can only have 1 deck per class
  • Players are required to submit the list of cards in these decks to LANified! Tournament Administration
